Introduction
When migrating a number of Xplore Wealth data feeds accounts, it is possible that different portfolios contain the same underlying security and they cannot be linked at the same time.
The solution will vary depending on whether the investment is a CGT asset or non-CGT asset.
For CGT investments (e.g. shares, managed fund units), process via a Code Change (see Example 1).
For non-CGT investments (e.g. traditional securities), process via Merge Holding Accounts (see Example 2).
Example 1 – CGT Investment
This portfolio has 2 holdings of CBA in separate Xplore Wealth Portfolios
Go to Transactions > Investment-Corporate Action>Code Change.
- Enter CBA1 as the Source Investment account.
- Enter CBA as the Target Investment account.
- Enter a target date which should be set to the day after the transfer date from Xplore Wealth to HUB24.
- Click Update parcelling.
- Click Yes to "Are you sure you wish to update your parcel matches at this date"?
- Click Update Details.
- Click Submit.
Close the window and return to Browse Holding Accounts.
The consolidated holding of 60 units is combined into a single holding account.
Example 2 – Non-CGT Investment
This portfolio has 2 holdings of the same traditional security in ABC Company in separate Xplore Wealth portfolios.
Go to Investments> Merge holding accounts.
- Enter Trad1 as the Source Investment account.
- Enter Trad as the Target Investment account.
- Enter an Action date target date which should be set to the day after the transfer date from Xplore Wealth to HUB24.
- Enter a description such as ABC Company 5.6% Bond merge accounts.
- Click Submit.
Close the window and return to Browse Holding Accounts.
The consolidated holding of 5,900 units is combined into a single holding account.
