When validating Annual Return, the below error message shows up:
"ECPI calculation may not be accurate as one of the member's account has gone into negative"
How do I fix this?
The Member balance went negative and become positive again during the current Financial Year.
Refer to our knowledge article, How do I review historical member transactions? to identify the transaction which overdrew the member account.
Some of the common errors:
- Pension Commutation - the Period Update was re-processed, but the Pension Commutation event has not been re-processed.
- Pension Establishment - the Period Update was re-processed, but the Pension Establishment event has not been re-processed.
- Insurance premium - Insurance was paid out of the member account before contribution was made into the accumulation account
Edit the events to ensure the member balance is always positive during the Financial Year.
