The Class data feed to IRESS’ financial software solution, XPLAN, enables financial advisers, accountants and their clients to share a single, consistent and up to date view of wealth across SMSF and non-SMSF entities. The feed includes all investments held within Class, including unlisted assets such as direct property. This allows customers to seamlessly maintain a consistent portfolio position, whilst reducing double-data entry into both systems.
Enabling the XPLAN feed for your business
For this feature to work, ensure that the Adviser has been invited and they have accepted their invitation to Client View.
To activate the data feed between Class and XPLAN, you will need to activate the feed from Class and grant your Adviser access to Client View. Your Adviser will then be able to initiate the feed by adding the Integration Token generated in Client View into XPLAN.
Enable the feed in Class
As the administrator you have the option to choose whether you allow the outgoing feed for your business.
Navigate to Business Level > Settings > Integration Settings
- Set Enable XPLAN Feed to Yes
- Click on Save to update your settings.
Generating the XPLAN token
Once you have enabled the XPLAN feed, your Advisers will be able to generate their unique token from Client View, This will be used to identify them in the data feed. To configure XPLAN, they will need to do the following steps:
- Log into Client View.
- Navigate to Settings > Integration Token
- Click Generate XPLAN Token to create a unique token.
A token will be generated which will be unique to the Adviser. This token will remain with the Adviser's account and cannot be changed.
Configuring the feed in XPLAN
Using the unique token generated in Class, the Adviser will now need to go into XPLAN and add the external adviser mapping and activate the Class datafeed.
Setting up the External Adviser ID in XPLAN
To set up the External Adviser ID in XPLAN, you will need to have the permission to Administer External Adviser IDs in XPLAN.
Navigate to XPLAN > Datafeed Functions > System Datafeeds > Mappings > Advisers > Add Mapping
- Set the Provider to "Class".
- Set the Adviser ID as the email the Adviser logs into Class with.
- Set the Password as the token that was generated in Client View.
- Click Save.
Activating the Class feed in the XPLAN software
Lastly, if not already done, you will need to activate the Class System Datafeed.
Navigate to XPLAN > Datafeed Functions > System Datafeeds > Platforms > Summary
- Find the entry for Class in the list and select Activate.
Managing Data from Class to XPLAN
Once all the above steps have been done, the feed will activate that night and it will automatically include all entities that the adviser has been granted access to on Class.
How Class Accounts Appear in XPLAN
The underlying source provider of the data in Class is included in the feed to XPLAN and these are provided as distinct accounts to allow the adviser to choose which accounts they want to receive from Class or, where available, directly from the source.
Any holdings which are not linked to a feed in Class will be linked against an account that uses the Fund Code in Class as the identifier. This allows for advisers to track which accounts data is available only from Class, and which are available from other feeds in XPLAN.
Below are a list of ways in which the Account and Holding data will be displayed in XPLAN.
|Account linked to a cash feed in Class||Source Provider - BSB/Account ID (Class) - Source Provider||Macquarie Cash - 182-512/12345678 (Class) - Macquarie Cash|
