Thank you for helping us with the tax statements collection process in the past months. After 30/06/2020, the Class team has been collecting copies of FY2020 annual tax statements which help you to generate automated tax statements for you and the Class community. We would greatly appreciate it if you can provide us with annual tax statements of the investments (particularly for managed funds) you hold.
You can either navigate to Fund > Fund Documents and upload the tax statement, then send us an email with the fund code to support@class.com.au
or
email us a scanned copy of the tax statement (redact any sensitive information) to support@class.com.au
We thank you in advance for your assistance.
This month we would like to discuss a few topics on client communications, corporate actions, and tax statement processing.
Client View and Client Messaging
Client View gives trustees and investors access to up-to-date SMSF and investment data, even on their mobile phones. It could be a great addition to remote client meetings, which we are now becoming used to. You and your client can message each other, attach and send documents. You can also see which clients have been logging onto Client View.
We have put together a summary of all knowledge base articles related to Client View and Client Messaging. We hope you find it helpful.
Corporate Action processing
The automated Corporate Actions, based mainly on the announcement data from ASX Reference Point, is a much-loved functionality of Class.
To understand the general functionalities and find out the recently automated corporate actions you can visit this link.
This article will reveal some tips and tricks on resolving processing issues for corporate actions.
Tax statements processing
Tax Statements on Class can be created in four different ways:
- Automatic - by generating them in the Tax Statement Console (for directly held investments only)
- OCR (Optical Character Recognition) - by uploading and extracting the data from a file in the Tax Statement Console
- Wrap/Platform feed - some data feed providers that support tax statements as part of their data feed
- Manually entered - when none of the other options is available.
This section of the Help Centre will provide an overview of the above 3 options.
