Issue
How do I process a transfer from a reserve account to a member's account, without triggering the following:
- a concessional contribution
- a non-concessional contribution
- assessable income to the fund
Resolution
To process this transfer, follow the below steps:
Step 1: Create a new Income/Expense type
Step 2: Create the Business Event for the transfer
Step 3: Match Transaction
Create a new Income/Expense type
Navigate to Business level > Settings > Fund Income
- Select "Fund Income" as the Category Type
- Select Add New Income Expense Type
- Create below Fund Income
Create the Business Event for the transfer
Navigate to Fund level > Transactions > Fund Income > Fund General Income
- Create the Business Event
- Override the 'Allocate To' field to point to the specific Member Account
- Create another Business event with the same amount but as negative
- Override the 'Allocate To' field to point to the Reserve Account
Match the transactions
Navigate to Fund level > Transactions > Match Transactions
- Match the transactions created in Step 1 & Step 2
