In this article you will learn about how to request paid property valuation through Class. To order a paid valuation, you need to complete and review information from the following sections:
Overview
Any user with read-write access is able to order a paid valuation through Class. Class has integrated with PropTrack that connects users to a registered valuer that will supply the valuations.
Property details
Select the estimated property value band, this is relevant for pricing purposes.
- Estimated value range: Enter an estimated valuation range of the property. This is relevant for pricing purposes and is an approximation. Properties valued over $5 million are currently ineligible.
- Source of valuation estimate: Specify where the estimated value is derived from, select other if unsure
- Property usage: Select the property type from the dropdown list
- Excluded conditions: Ensure the property usage does not fall under any of the “excluded conditions” by accepting the acknowledgement. You can refer to the complete list of exclusions here.
- Stepper: The right panel displays the progress of the request. You can't skip ahead if a section isn't complete yet.
Property address
Address verification is required to proceed, the Next button will be enabled once the address is verified. If the address status is Unverified, select an address from the drop-down list.
The postcode will be checked to see if it's a supported postcode. Valuations located in non-metro postcodes will be more expensive than metro. For a full list of postcodes that are supported refer to the page here.
Valuation type
- Valuation type: Select "Desktop" or "Short form" valuation
- Effective date: Enter the date for which the property valuation is required (up to 2 years in the past)
- Estimated fee: You will see the estimated fee for the valuation inclusive GST, based on the details provided when completing this form
Contact details
Requester contact details
The details of the person completing the valuation request will auto-populate, including name, and e-mail. You can add a contact number if this is your preferred contact method for any questions regarding the valuation from the valuer.
Site contact details
Site contact is mandatory for a Short Form valuation and optional for a desktop valuation. For a desktop valuation the site contact may be included in correspondence from the valuer to clarify information.
Documents
Upload any relevant documents listed on the screen by selecting Browse files or drag and drop. Ensure that any personally identifiable information is masked before uploading information.
It's important to upload required documents upfront to avoid delays in obtaining the valuation.
Notes
Enter any additional information or instructions that are important for the valuer in this section. This is an optional section.
Preview
Cross-check the entire form to ensure all information is accurate and complete, then click Submit to request the paid valuation.
