Issue
What are Reference Code Type and Holding Reference Code in the Excel Transaction Loader?
Resolution
There are three types of Reference Code:
- AccountNumber
- HIN/SRN
- HoldingAccount.
You will need to select how you would like to map the transactions to the fund, so Class knows where to load the transactions.
Account number
This option is used when the asset is linked to a Broker/Wrap account number.
You can find the account number either through the Feeds Console or Browse Holding Accounts.
Navigate to Fund Level > Feeds > Feeds Console
- You will be able to find the broker/wrap account number from the below screen
Navigate to Fund Level > Transactions >Browse Holding Accounts
- The account number is showing in the Reference column
HIN/SRN
This option is used when you have entered this information against the holding.
You can find HIN entered in Class through the Feeds Console
Navigate to Fund Level > Feeds > Feeds Console
- You will be able to find the HIN number from the below screen
Holding Account
Select Holding Account to map the transactions based on the account code of the assets in Class.
Navigate to Fund Level > Investments >Browse Holding Accounts
- The holding account code is shown in the Holding Code column
Normally the holding reference code will be the same as the security code of the investment, but when there are two accounts set up in Class for the same investment, their holding account codes will be different e.g. ANZ and ANZ_1.
