Please note that Trust entities will not appear under the Tax Agent Administration menu at the business level. A Trust entity can only be lodged at the entity level.
To lodge a Trust tax return, you must:
- Have the role of a Tax Agent, Fund Administrator or Access Controller at the Business level, and
- Have completed the steps outlined in the Complete a Trust Tax Return article.
View & Lodge the Trust Tax Return
At the entity level navigate to Periodic Processing > Period Updates > select the financial year > View tax return
- View - ensure you have selected Lodge View from the dropdown
- Tax Agent who will be lodging this return - if your business has multiple tax agents ensure you select the correct one from the dropdown menu
- View - click View against the forms to view the figures with the Trust Tax return and the schedules

Lodge - Click lodge to lodge the Trust Tax return with the ATO

Reject - Click Reject should any changes be required.
Reject the Tax Return submission
If changes are required to the Trust Tax return and you select Reject, once the screen refreshes there will be a Rejected by Agent status displayed above the Lodgment Information panel:
Tax Agent Declaration
If you select to Lodge the Trust Tax return, a pop-up screen requesting a declaration will appear:
- Submit - to finalise lodgment
- Cancel - to exit this screen
Lodgment History
You will be able to see a Lodgment History tab on the Tax Lodgment Console screen:
Please note that Trust entities will not appear under the Tax Agent Administration menu at the Business level. A Trust entity may only be lodged at the entity level through this console.
