This article guides you through the process of entering your cash transactions into bank accounts.

In this article, we will teach you the following:
Copy and Paste from Excel
Navigate to Fund Level > Transactions > Browse Bank Statements > +Add
You can copy and paste transactions from an Excel spreadsheet directly into Class. The spreadsheet must follow the format below:
- Date - Format dd/mm/yyyy
- Description - Should be the same as the detail on the bank statement
- Cash Out - Cash amount out of the bank account. Must be positive
- Cash In Cash amount into the bank account. Must be positive.
- Once you have prepared your Excel file select Paste From Spreadsheet:
- Go back to your spreadsheet and highlight the area of your data in the spreadsheet and right-click Copy (Ctrl+C). Navigate back to Class and right-click Paste (Ctrl+V).
- Click OK
The balance in this screen will not include the opening balance of the bank account, so should not be used for reconciliation
- Click Save Transactions
Manually Entering Cash
Navigate to Fund Level > Transactions > Browse Bank Statements > +Add
You can enter transactions directly into Class by clicking into the date field per below.
You should only enter cash transactions manually as a last resort.
- Date - Format dd/mm/yyyy
- Description - Should be the same as the detail on the bank statement
- Cash Out - Cash amount out of the bank account. Must be positive
- Cash In Cash amount into the bank account. Must be positive.
- Add More Rows - If you need to add in additional rows for transactions.
- Click Save.
Upload CSV File
Navigate to Fund Level > Transactions > Browse Bank Statements > Upload CSV
When uploading a CSV file it is recommended you adjust the upload file to Class's required format. The following steps will assist you.
- Class Upload Template - download template provided and fill content as per steps Copy & Paste from Excel and save to desktop.
- Select an Account - this is the account, you may need to add a Bank Account
- Choose File - select account to upload.
- Upload - Upload the file
The balance in this screen will not include the opening balance of the bank account, so should not be used for reconciliation
