Configuration Process
Navigate to Fund Level > Feeds > Feeds Console > + New > New Broker/Platform Feed
- Enter the account information as per the statement:
Field Name Field Description Example Account number It is the Expand account number.
Format: 8 digits
Account Number: 16000001
Product Set to "Expand (MLC)"
Expand (MLC)
- Ensure that you link existing holding accounts relating to this account under the Holding Accounts section by ticking each checkbox.
If all the relevant holding accounts are not linked the system will create new investment accounts which could cause duplication of investment accounts that can be challenging to correct.
Authority Process
- Send an email to the Expand Adviser for the account activation with the following text:
Hi (name of the adviser)
We request that you activate a data feed for the following account(s) into Class.
Account name Account number ................... ..........................
Could you also please share your adviser code for the data feed as it is required to be loaded into Class as part of the agreed activation process between Class and Expand?

- The Expand adviser will arrange for the data feed to be activated and will reply to the email in step 1 with a confirmation once the data feed has been activated and will also provide the adviser code. If you do not hear back from the adviser regarding the activation please follow up directly with them.
- Under Configuration set up in Class, select the adviser from the drop-down.
If you have not previously entered the adviser's code, refer to How to enter Adviser Authorities in Class to add the adviser code.
The adviser authority type is "Insignia" when configuring advisor authorities in Class. - Change the status of the feed to "Waiting on Provider"
1. You can expect data to load automatically within ten business days.
Additional Information
- The feed supports separately managed account (SMA) transactions. This feature is available on request when your Business requests the functionality be switched on by Class. If you wish to receive SMA transactions, please have an Access Controller log a support ticket.
- The transition arrangements for the former MLC accounts have been completed. To activate the new data feed, please ensure that an adviser code is set up against the new product type Expand (MLC).
