You have not nominated this software provider to secure transmissions made through online (cloud-based) software. To resolve, please log on to Access Manager (AUSkey required) and select ‘my nominated software provider’ and follow the instructions to nominate a provider, or call the ATO. You will need provide the following details: Software provider name and/or their ABN and Software ID. |
This is normally caused by incorrect ABN of the tax agent has been entered. The steps involved to troubleshoot this is the following:

This is normally caused by the software ID was not registered with ATO. To resolve this problem

Steps to Confirm ABN / TAN
To check that you have entered the correct ABN follow these steps:
- In Class go to the Tax Agent and on the details tab check the ABN that has been entered (shown below):
- Check the Tax Agent Number on the Roles tab (shown below):
- Go to the Tax Practitioners Board website https://www.tpb.gov.au/
- Click on Search the register (shown below):
- Enter the Tax Agent Number from the Roles tab in Class in the Registration Number box (shown below):
- Click Search
- This should return the details of the tax agent including the Practice/Business Name
- Go to ABN Lookup https://abr.business.gov.au and enter the Business Name listed on the Tax Practitioners Board website
- Check the ABN for the business name entered
- Does this match the ABN entered in Class?
