Issue
Foreign Bank Account is not showing as Foreign Cash on Load Opening Balance page
Cause
This is a known issue to Class, the Excel Fund Loader doesn't recognise the bank account as foreign. Issue has been raised to the Development team.
Resolution
To resolve this issue the following workaround is available:
Step 1: Create a new Foreign Bank account
Step 2: Delete the existing Foreign Bank account
Step 3: Enter Parcel information for the new Foreign Bank account
Create a new Foreign Bank account
Navigate to Fund Level > Investments > Bank Account
- From the pop-up screen, enter Code (a unique code in the fund)
- Select Yes to "Is Foreign"
- Select the Currency
- Choose Foreign Cash Tax Treatment, refer to Foreign Bank Account Accounting and Tax Treatment in our User Guide for more information
- Enter Display Name (this is the name which will show on reports)
- Enter Full Account Name
- Enter Account name (if applicable, this is not compulsory field)
Delete the existing Foreign Bank account
Clear the balance in the existing Foreign Bank account
Navigate to Fund Level > Fund > Load Opening Balance
- Clear the Closing Balance
- Click on Submit
Clear the transactions in the existing Foreign Bank account
Navigate to Fund Level > Transactions > Browse Bank Statements
- Select the existing Foreign Bank account from the drop-down list
- Tick the checkbox to Date
- Click on Export CSV or Delete
Delete the existing Foreign Bank account
Navigate to Fund Level > Investments > Browse Holding Account
- Click on the existing Foreign Bank Account
- From the account detail page, click on Edit
- From the pop-up screen, click on Delete
Step 3: Enter Parcel information for the new Foreign Bank account
