Background
In 2015 Microsoft released Edge as the browser to supersede Internet Explorer (IE). IE has not received major updates since then, nor has support been added for many modern web standards. Microsoft has openly discouraged the use of IE as a default browser and are ceasing support for it in Office 365 and Teams. At Class, we have seen a significant decline in IE usage and as a result have decided to end support.
This will allow us to deliver improved functionality for Class users and take advantage of modern web standards.
How will this affect Class users?
Class will not fix bugs which are specific to IE11. Features we introduce will not be compatible with IE11.
What date will Class cease supporting IE11?
Class will be retiring support for IE on October 31, 2020.
