This article helps to understand what the Match to New function is and how to use it. If you are in the Match Transactions screen and you would like to allocates a particular transaction manually, you can use this functionality.
This method is best used for processing single events that have not been matched through the use of Automatch or Transaction Rules. These transactions are typically items such as, ad-hoc fees, a Tax Payment/Refund and so on.
Match to New
Navigate to Fund Level > Match Transactions
- To classify a transaction click on the Menu icon
- Click on Match To New
- Click on one of the categories such as Fund Income to expand a sub menu for that category
- Select the relevant sub-menu item. A screen will open where you can complete additional data entry that may be required and then click Submit
