This article will guide you through how you can use the Tax Statement Console to generate Tax Statements for the investments linked to Platform/Wrap data feed including:
Navigate to Fund Level > Periodic Processing > Tax Statement Console
If you would like to use the Tax Statement Console to generate Tax Statements for investments linked to a Platform/Wrap, you will first need to retrieve Tax Statements. Once retrieved you will then be able to Generate Tax Statements in the normal way.
Retrieving Tax Statements
- You have read-write access for the entity
- The financial year is not closed
- It is linked to Platform/Wrap data feed
- Cash distribution exists for the financial year
- Tax Statements don't already exist for the financial year
- Click Retrieve, this will capture the distributions for the investments are linked to Platform/Wrap data feed.
- Select the check-box at the top of the table if you wish to retrieve Tax Statement for all the investments
- Click Retrieve.
The Tax Statement will be displayed on the Tax Statement Console after retrieving.
Retrieving then Generating Tax Statements won't prevent the Tax Statements being loaded by the data feed later. To avoid potential duplication, you can enter the Do Not Load Data date under that data feed or Close the Financial Year.
Resetting Tax Statements
If you Generate a Tax Statement for an investment linked to a platform/wrap data feed and the distribution amounts change or are incorrect you can either manually adjust the components on the Tax Statement or Reset the Tax Statement. Reset will delete that Tax Statements, you will then need to click on Retrieve again if you want to Generate the Tax Statement again.
