Issue

There are duplicate investment accounts with suffix _1 linked in our investment holding accounts. Balances of both the original investment account and the newly created _1 are now incorrect. How can this be resolved?

Cause

When an automated feed commences it generates all holding accounts that are needed, based on the account balances received. In the case where the created holding reference did not correctly link it to the holding accounts, duplicates of those accounts will be created.

Resolution

To resolve this issue, move all transactions to one investment account and delete the other investment account. 

Navigate to Fund Level > Feeds > Feeds Console 

1. Click on the feed reference 
2. Unlink the holding accounts with suffix _1
3. Link the holding accounts which have the original purchase parcels

Navigate to Fund Level > Investments > Browse holding accounts

1. Click on the holding account with suffix _1
2. Click on Edit on the investment detail page
3. From the pop-up screen, change the description to indicate it needs to be deleted

 Navigate to Fund Level > Transactions > Browse events

1. Group business events by Account Name
2. Locate any events associated with the now renamed duplicate accounts
3. Edit them to be associated with the correct holding accounts

 Navigate to Fund Level > Investments > Browse Holding Accounts

1. Click on the holding account with suffix _1
2. From the investment detail page, click on Edit
3. From the pop-up screen, click on Delete
