Objective
Asgard sends through their data to Class and other entities using a file format called EPI 3.1.
This is an old file format and is limited in terms of what data can be sent to Class accurately compared to a hard copy tax statement.
Limitations of Asgard Tax Statements
Examples of the limitation of the file format are as follows:
- Other income is grouped with interest because there is no interest field. This will also happen with foreign interest.
- Unfranked income is split into two categories on the paper statement but there is only one field in the EPI data file.
- CGT Concession amount on the paper statement appears in the foreign gains column.
Class recommends that you check the loaded tax statement data against the hard copy statements and amend the Distribution - Tax Statement where necessary.
