What is the Xplan data feed?
The Class data feed to IRESS’ financial software solution, Xplan, enables financial advisers, accountants and their clients to share a single, consistent and up to date view of wealth across SMSF and non-SMSF entities. The feed includes all investments held within Class, including unlisted assets such as direct property. This allows customers to maintain a consistent portfolio position, whilst reducing double-data entry into both systems.
Why can I no longer access the Xplan feed?
From 1st April 2021, the Xplan data feed has been sunsetted. From this point it will be shifted into “Maintenance Mode”, meaning it will only be available to existing Class customers with Xplan. Our Support team will make the best effort to ensure your Xplan data files are generated daily, and sent to Xplan in the meantime.
Why are our Xplan data feeds going to “Maintenance Mode”?
Class conducted a survey to reach out to our Xplan customers for feedback in November 2020 to learn more about its usage and functionality. After reviewing the feedback from customers, the Class’ team reached a decision to put Xplan into “Maintenance Mode” to meet the change in demand.
How will my existing Xplan data feed be impacted?
You will not be required to do anything in the process of the Xplan entering “Maintenance Mode”. During “Maintenance Mode”, the following conditions apply:
- The Class Support team will make the best effort to ensure your existing Xplan data files are generated daily, and the data files will be sent to Xplan as planned.
- The current Class and Xplan data feed integration will remain in EPI 4.2 format
- Existing users can continue to contact Class Support for an Xplan data refresh.
- Unfortunately, with the Xplan data feed being sunsetted, Class Support requests, other than Xplan data refresh, will no longer be serviced.
- During this period, the Xplan data feeds will not be enhanced with new features or functions. We will only service updates with critical bug fixes.
How long will my Xplan remain in “Maintenance Mode” for?
Xplan will remain indefinitely in “Maintenance Mode” as of 1st of April 2021. This is in consideration of IRESS still accepting EPI 4.2 data files. Should these EPI 4.2 data files no longer be accepted, Xplan data feed will go to “End of life”.
Will I be charged for the Xplan data feeds?
There will be no additional charges to clients for Xplan Data feeds during the “Maintenance Mode” process. This will not impact your existing services in anyway. Please contact your Account Manager if you have any questions regarding your existing services or pricing.
What if I still need to access Xplan for a quick data refresh?
Existing users can continue to contact the Class Support team for Xplan data refresh to ensure you have access to your data files.
Can I still sign up for Xplan feeds?
No. From 1st April 2021, the Xplan Data feed will be sunsetted. Class will no longer enable additional business to use Xplan Data feed.
What if my advisors need to access the Xplan data feeds?
You will only have access to the data refresh functionality, with Class no longer taking any new requests for additional advisors to the Xplan data feeds.
What happens to my support tickets on Xplan?
Any existing support tickets will be reviewed and closed, unless in the case of a critical bug. Our Support Team will prioritize tickets including those that have been backlogged.
