In this article, we explain how to connect to share registries, including:
Overview
Class integrates with Boardroom, Computershare, Automic and MUFG Pension & Market Services (formerly Link Market Services) to provide registry data connections to Class. Currently this integration provides monthly (end of month) registry holding balances and current ownership details for each investment.
Two financial years of historical monthly balances can be obtained once the Share Registry connection is established.
Connecting to share registries - HIN
Pre-requisite: You must have an eligible broker feed setup in your feed console to connect using HIN. If you do not have any available, you can configure a broker feed with product Other - Broker Sponsored and link the relevant holdings.
Navigate to Fund Level > Feeds > Connect share registries
- Enter the Postcode of the Registry Holding.

Enter the HIN of the Registry Holding.
Please refer to the HIN and SRN format table below.
- Click the ‘Connect’ button.
A connection will be established with Boardroom, Computershare or MUFG Pension & Market Services (formerly Link Market Services), displaying "Verifying" to indicate the share registry connection is in progress. - The verification will stop once the connection request is complete, and the connection status will be displayed accordingly.
Connecting to share registries - SRN
- Enter the Postcode of the Registry Holding.

- Click the ‘Connect’ button
A connection will be established with Boardroom, MUFG Pension & Market Services (formerly Link Market Services) or Computershare, displaying "Verifying" to indicate the share registry connection is in progress.
- The verification will stop once the connection request is complete, and the connection status will be displayed accordingly.
HIN and SRN Formats
Each registry accepts HINs and SRNs in different formats. Below captures the information per Registry.

Troubleshooting
The following validation errors will be displayed on the Connect Share Registry screen to ensure the user provides valid data when attempting to connect to the Registries:
| Error | Description |
| Postcode Invalid | Postcode is not a four-digit number |
| HIN Invalid | HIN does not comply with the minimum format of ‘X’, 'L' followed by 9,10 or 11 numbers |
| SRN Invalid | SRN does not comply with the minimum format of ‘I’, 'C', 'N' followed by 9,10 or 11 numbers. |
| Unable to Save | Either the postcode or the HIN/SRN do not satisfy the minimum data format validations |
| Unable to Connect | Either the postcode or the HIN/SRN do not satisfy the minimum data format validations |
| Internal server error | Some data could not be saved due to internal server error. Try again |
If there is an issue establishing a connection for a Share Registry, click on the disconnect button, update the information and try reconnect.
Stuck on Verifying
If your share registry connection is stuck on verifying this may be due to the account and feed you are using to connect has a grey feed console status such as:
- Feed Not Supported
- Account Closed
