The Member Console summarises details for all members of SMSFs in the business in one place. For example information about member's contributions, pensions, Total Super Balance, Transfer Balance Account and contact details.
This console is also available at the Fund Level.
Navigate to Business Level > Members > Member Console
- Use Search to look up a specific fund or member
- Use Filter to sort (these are pre-set by Class)
- Use Tags (to show funds meeting the criteria of a Tag/s that have been created)
- Use Financial Years to Filter between financial years
- Use Brand to view funds at any brand levels if applicable
Member Console View
Navigate to Business Level > Members > Member Console > Member Accounts
The Member Console is comprised of four views. The default view is Member Accounts which is a summary view of the number of accounts and balances each member has.
Member Accounts View
- Code (Fund code)
- Fund (Name of the super fund)
- Member Name (Name of the relevant member)
- Date of Birth (Date of birth of the member)
- Age (The current age of the member)
- Last benefit allocation (The last time a period update was run and allocated benefits to the Member)
- Total Balance (The sum of the member account balances that are within Class including accumulation and all pensions balances)
- Accumulation Balance (The total balance of the member's accumulation account)
- Pension Balance (The total balance of all the member's pension accounts)
- Total Super Balance* (The total super balance of a member which takes into account the external superannuation balances and adjustments that are updated by a user within the contribution caps screen. This amount is as of 30 June of the selected financial year)
- Transfer Balance* (The balance of the Transfer Balance Account of a member as of 30 June of the selected financial year)
- Available Transfer Balance* (The Remaining Cap amount of the Transfer Balance Account i.e. Personal Transfer Balance Cap minus Transfer Balance of the member as of 30 June of the selected financial year)
- Pension Accounts (Number of pension accounts the member has and whether the member has at least one TRIS that needs to be converted to RPIS*)
- Additional Menu Options (Click on the menu icon to view more member details)
*These fields are only available if the selected financial year is 2017-2018 or after.
Contribution Caps View
Navigate to Business Level > Members > Member Console > Contribution Caps
This shows information relating to contributions made by a member and their contribution cap status.
- Code (Fund code)
- Fund (Name of the super fund)
- Member Name (Name of the relevant member)
- Date of Birth (Date of birth of the member)
- Age (The current age of the member)
- Maximum Conc. Cap (Shows the concessional cap the member is entitled to)
- Conc. Made (The total amount of concessional contribution made)
- Conc. Available (Shows how much of the concessional cap is still available - a negative amount indicates an excess contribution issue)
- Non-Conc. Cap (Shows the non-concessional cap the member is entitled to)
- Non-Conc. Made (The total amount of non-concessional contribution made)
- Non-Conc. Available (Shows the remaining amount of non-concessional cap available - a negative amount indicates an excess contribution issue)
- Bring Forward (Shows whether the bring forward rule has been trigged)

Pension Limits View
Navigate to Business Level > Members > Member Console
This provides an overview of each pension account per member.
- Code (Fund code)
- Fund (Name of the super fund)
- Member Name (Name of the relevant member)
- Date of Birth (Date of birth of the member)
- Age (The current age of the member)
- Pension Accounts (Number of pension accounts the member has and whether the member has at least one TRIS that needs to be converted RPIS*)
- Not Established (Shows the number of pension accounts created but not yet established)
- Requiring Action (Shows the number of reviews where an action is required. This could be because the member has not yet reached their minimum payments or they may have paid more than the maximum)
- Total Minimums (Total minimums applicable across all pension accounts. If there are multiple pension reviews for the same pension account will show the sum of the minimums)
- Total Maximums (Total maximums applicable across all pension accounts. If there are multiple pension reviews for the same pension account and one maximum is zero, the total maximums will be zero, otherwise, it will use the maximum amount)
- Review Amount (Total review amounts for the member)
- Gross YTD (Total gross payments made by the member for the current financial year)
- TRIS (Indicates if the pension account is a Transition to Retirement pension)

Contact Details View
Navigate to Business Level > Members > Member Console > Contact Details
This displays contact information for each member. This is based on the information entered in on the Member Details screen.
- Code (Fund code)
- Fund (Name of the super fund)
- Member Name (Name of the relevant member)
- Date of Birth (Date of birth of the member)
- Age (The current age of the member)
- Phone Number (Member's phone number)
- Phone Type (Type of phone i.e. home, mobile etc.)
- Email Address ( The email address of the Member)
- Invite Status (This indicates whether they have been invited to Client View)
- Last Logged On (If the member has been invited to use Client View this shows when they have last logged on)
- Additional Menu Options (Click on the menu icon to view more member details)
Personal Transfer Balance Cap
On selection of financial year 2021-22 onwards a new tab “Personal Transfer balance Cap” shall be displayed under Member Console. Apart from the basic member details, the screen shall have following columns:
- Code (Fund code)
- Fund (Name of the super fund)
- Member Name (Name of the relevant member)
- Date of Birth (Date of birth of the member)
- Age (The current age of the member)

Personal Transfer Balance Cap –Lifetime limit of the total amount of superannuation that can be transferred into retirement phase income stream after indexation being applied if eligible.
-FY2021-22 and FY2022-23 display Personal Transfer Balance Cap from 1 July 2021 Indexation
-FY2023-24 onwards display Personal Transfer Balance Cap from 1 July 2023 Indexation. -
Highest Ever Transfer Balance – Highest end of the day balance of a Transfer balance account.

Indexation Entitlement –Eligibility of the member for indexation to the Transfer balance cap, members who have utilised their Personal Transfer Balance Cap before the indexation are not eligible for indexation.

-FY2023-24 onwards display 1 July 2023 Indexation Entitlement
TRIS Conversion Button
For members who have at least one TRIS and have turned age 65 or satisfied a relevant condition of release with nil cashing restriction (retirement, terminal illness and permanent incapacity), you may now identify these members and trigger the conversion via Member Console.
These members may be identified by selecting the 'Member Accounts' and 'Pension Limits' on the Member Console views:
You are required to acknowledge this by submitting a TRIS Conversion event* for the Transfer Balance Account Reporting (TBAR) before the relevant TBAR event can be generated.

Member & Pension Balances
When selected financial year is prior to 2021-22
- Pension ≥ $1.6m (Pension accounts with balances that are greater than or equal to $1.6m)
- Balance ≥ $1.6m (Members with balances that are greater than or equal to $1.6m)
- Balance < $500K (Members with balances that are below $500K)
- Over Transfer Balance Cap (Members with transfer balance account exceeded the Transfer Balance Cap)
- Under Transfer Balance Cap (Members with transfer balance account under the Transfer Balance Cap)
When selected financial year is 2021-22 or later
- Pension ≥ $1.7m (Pension accounts with balances that are greater than or equal to $1.7m)
- Balance ≥ $1.7m (Members with balances that are greater than or equal to $1.7m)
- Balance < $500K (Members with balances that are below $500K)

- Over Personal Transfer Balance Cap (Members with transfer balance account exceeded the Personal Transfer Balance Cap)

- Less Than $500,000 (Members with the total super balance less than $500,000)

Pension Types
- Segregated (Funds using Segregated method for pension exemption purpose)
- TRIS (Members with Transition to Retirement Income Stream)
- TRIS Conversion (Members with at least one TRIS that needs to be converted to retirement phase income stream (RPIS))
- Complying/Term Allocated/Flexi (Members with Complying, Term Allocated and/or Flexi (Term Allocated Pension is also known as Market Linked Pension) pensions)
Pension Limits
- Pension Max Exceeded (Members that have exceeded their maximum amount for withdrawal)
- Pension Min Not Met (Members that have not yet met their minimum amount for withdrawal)
Age of Member
- Age ≥ 65 (Members aged 65 or above)
- ≥ Preservation Age (Members reached preservation age)
Concessional Contribution Caps
- Over CC Cap (Members that have gone over the CC cap)
- Under CC Cap (Members that are still within the CC Cap)
Non-Concessional Contribution Caps
- Over NCC Cap (Members that have gone over the NCC cap)
- Under NCC Cap (Members that are still within the NCC cap)
You can combine and use two or more filters to further refine your member list. For example, Balance ≥ $1.6m and Segregated
