Issue

Period update error - A disposal of XX units of XX investment on DD/MM/YYYY cannot be matched due to insufficient holding

Cause

There are two causes of this issue:

Cause 1: The units entered into a sale/disposal event are not correct, too many units have been sold.

Cause 2: An incomplete Maintain Parcel Edit point is in place.

Resolution

The units entered into a sale/disposal event are not correct, too many units have been sold.

Review the recently processed transactions for the code on the date indicated to locate the incorrect transaction.

Navigate to Fund Level > Investments > Browse Holding Accounts

1. Search for the Investment holding account with the issue
2. On the right of the holding account, click on the ellipsis menu
3. From the menu window, click on Reconciliation
   
4. From the Balance Reconciliation screen, review Disposal Events and Corporate Action events which exceeded the holding balance
   
   
   
5. Click on Capital Holding Transaction
6. The disposal event will be displayed as a pop-up screen
7. Click on Edit 
8. Update the Units for sell
9. Click on Submit

An incomplete Maintain Parcel Edit point is in place.

Review the Maintain Parcel Edit Point for the investment

Navigate to Fund Level > Investments > Browse Holding Accounts

1. Search for the Investment Holding Account with the issue
2. Click on the Investment Holding Account
3. Click on Maintain Parcel Edit Point
4. The Incorrect Maintain Parcel Edit Point showing no available parcels will display
5. Click on Delete to remove this incomplete Maintain Parcel Edit Point
