Issue

There is a validation error - Title is Invalid in the SMSF Annual Return (SAR) > Member Section where one of the members is deceased.

Cause

A member has passed away during the financial year. The member's title has been updated to 'The Late Mr', 'The Late Mrs' or 'The Late Ms' via Fund Level > Members > Browse members > clicking the member's name. The SAR could not be submitted due to a validation error. 

Resolution

Navigate to Fund Level > Periodic Processing > Browse Tax Lodgment

1. Click on the corresponding financial year
2. Click on the Annual Return
3. Review  Section F and Section G  - if there is a title 'The Late Mr', 'The Late Mrs' or 'The Late Ms' in those sections for the member, you will need to update it to 'Mr', 'Mrs' or 'Ms'
4. Re-approve and validate the return -  the error message should be cleared
