The file naming logic applied in VMR adheres to standard naming conventions across all document types, regardless of whether they are within supported or unsupported models.
The file name in VMR lookup is automated as: (document_type_business_code_fund_code_document_date.pdf)
Scenario 1
The file digitised in VMR is classified as a "Tax Statement" under the document type category. The screenshot below illustrates how the file name is automatically generated based on standard naming conventions.
File name automated in VMR is (Tax_Statement_supportsmoketest_Demo4_30062023.pdf)
Scenario 2
The file digitised in VMR is classified as "Buy Confirmations" under the document type category. The screenshot below illustrates how the file name is automatically generated based on standard naming conventions.
File name automated in VMR is (Buy_Confirmations_supportsmoketest_DEMOSAROJ_12022024.pdf)
VMR users have the option to retain the automated file name as it is, or delete it and replace it with a custom file name at their discretion before saving and publishing the document and data to Class DMS or SharePoint.
The refresh icon next to the file name allows users to update the file name when the document type is manually changed from "Other Statements" to a relevant document type using the PDF grid. For example, if a file is initially digitised as "Other Statement" and the user changes the document type to "Buy Confirmation," saving the new document type and clicking the refresh icon will update the file name accordingly. The user must then click Save beneath the file name to ensure the changes are applied.
