How do I rectify data that has been incorrectly tagged and exported from VMR into Class DMS?
Resolution
Once the data (e.g. system, custom, and investment tags) is published from VMR into Class fund documents, users cannot modify or re-publish the same file/data in VMR.
However, users can modify the data exported from VMR in Class fund documents, since the data published from VMR to Class fund documents is not placed in 'Locked Tags'.
The error rate for automated tagging is very low, except in cases where a user manually adds tags in the VMR lookup and later discovers that the files were incorrectly tagged to holdings or system or custom tags.
Steps to fix:
- Identify the Incorrect Tags: Review the files/data from “Published Menu” of VMR to determine which holdings, system or custom tags are incorrectly exported to Class Fund documents.
- Navigate to Class Fund Documents: Click the overflow menu (three dots) next to the document, then select View/Edit.
- Remove Incorrect Tags: Delete the incorrect user-selected tags from the document exported from the VMR.
- Add Correct Tags: Apply the correct holdings, system or custom tags to the document.
- Save all and finish: Click save all and finish to ensure that the correct tags have been applied.
