How do I make an auditor or auditing firm a default relationship?

Resolution

There are 3 options available:

Option 1: Make an auditor or auditing firm default for the business

Option 2: Make an auditor or auditing firm default for a brand

Option 3: Make an auditor or auditing firm default for a fund

Option 1: Make an auditor or auditing firm default for the business

Navigate to Business Level > Business > Business details > Relationship 

• Related Organisation
  • Use Add Related Organisation field to add the auditing firm to the list
  • Click on the ellipsis menu   at the end of the organisation
  • Select Make Default

or

• Related People
  • Use Add Related Person field to add the auditor to the list
  • Click on the ellipsis menu   to right of the person
  • Select Make Default

Option 2: Make an auditor or auditing firm default for a brand

Navigate to Business Level > Settings > Brand details

1. Choose the brand from dropdown menu
2. Select Relationships tab
3. Select
   • • Related Organisation
       • Use Add Related Organisation field to add the auditing firm to the list
       • Click on the ellipsis menu at the end of the organisation
       • Select Make Default
         or
     • Select Related People 
       • Use Add Related Person field to add the auditor to the list
       • Click on the ellipsis menu to right of the person
       • Select Make Default

Option 3: Make an auditor or auditing firm default for a fund

Refer to knowledge base article How to add a specific auditor to a particular fund for detailed steps to set up the auditor. 

Navigate to Fund Level > Fund > Fund Contact

1. Select Related Organisation
2. Use Add Related Organisation field to add the auditing firm to the list
3. Click on the ellipsis menu at the end of the organisation
4. Select Make Default

or

1. Select Related People
2. Use Add Related Person field to add the auditor to the list
3. Click on the ellipsis menu to the right of the person
4. Select Make Default

If an auditor is specifically selected as "Make Default" for a fund, this action will override the settings for other auditor/s who have "Make Default" at the Brand or Business level. Similarly, if an auditor is selected as "Make Default" at the Brand level, this action will override the "Make Default" auditor at the Business level.
