Macquarie Bank currently only supports 'transaction listing' and not Bank Statements
Currently, Scan & Save does not support the full bank statements from Macquarie CMA as it does not include the word date in the table header. You will need to access the transaction listing from the Macquarie website.
To generate a transaction report on Macquarie Online Banking (per Macquarie Online):
- Select Accounts from the side menu; or first click on the menu icon in top left-hand corner to display the side menu
- Select the account you want to produce a transaction report for
- Click ‘I want to…’ and click ‘View account statements and reports’
- Enter a custom date range of your choice
- Click Generate
The transaction listing should appear as follows:
Why did I receive the error "Unable to read a copy of the selected bank statement. Please contact Class with a copy of this statement for assistance?"
The following are know issues that may cause this error message to display:
- If there are manual annotation on the PDF. Upload a clean copy of the bank statement without any manual alterations.
- If the scanned pdf has not not been scanned straight.
- If the number of pages are more than 11 or the file size is greater than 5mb. Try splitting the PDF to have lesser than 11 pages or smaller file size.
- If the statements are not loaded in chronological order.
- If the header is missing the word date or date is depicted by any other name.
In what scenarios might transactions, line items or descriptions be missed?
In general Scan & Save will not a miss a line item or transaction however it is always important to reconcile the balance once loaded.
Here are some scenarios where
- Please review the scanned PDF document if the description or details are not aligned to the columns boundary next line may get skipped.
- Please review the scanned PDF document. If there are sub tables in the bank statements then it won't load all transactions and would cut off where it encounters the tables.
- Please review if there are any summary year transactions for NAB statements including interest and withholding tax for a financial year as these may be recorded as a transaction
- If the date heading is missing in the first page, it is recommended to use the Transaction Listing statement.
- Please review if there are ' in the sum the line items may not read in the example below.
