This article explores various methods for setting up a new fund in Class, allowing you to choose the option that best suits your needs.
1. Add a New Fund Directly in Class
This method allows you to add a new fund directly via Class. Please refer to this Adding a New Fund Help article.
2. Use the New Fund Wizard function in Class
This method simplifies the process of entering fund and member details by using the New Fund Wizard.
- Use the New Fund Wizard to guide you through setting up the fund.
- Add any investments held by the entity including Bank accounts, Foreign bank accounts, Property, Unlisted assets, Listed assets, Term deposits & Foreign investments.
- Set up Broker and Platform Feed and Activate the Data feeds.
- Set up Members.
- Enter all the Opening Balances.
3. Use the Excel Fund Loader
This method is ideal if you prefer uploading all fund details and opening balances via an Excel file.
- Download the Excel Fund Loader from Class.
- Enter the required data into the loader.
- Submit the completed loader to Class.

4. Use our transitions service - Free offer till June 2025
Class is offering a Free Transition Service for entities migrating from BGL or SuperMate until 30 June 2025.
Offer details:
- Free Transition service for all entities coming from BGL or SuperMate.
- Note this is Transition services only (shell + opening balance), not additional services, not manual transition.
- Note this is not attached to the license/subscription fee.
- Note this does not affect brand-new SSLA, this offer can be used in addition to the offer in the contract.
Condition of offer:
- Complete set of reports must be submitted in TMS batches between 1/7/2024-30/06/2025.
- All BGL funds must contain report packs as listed in our Help Guide here.
- All SuperMate funds must contain report packs as listed in our Help Guide here.
