Objective
For Bonds to be able to accept feed data, they must be configured as a USER-defined investment. This article outlines the appropriate configuration. It also provides information on creating the security code for Bonds.
Prerequisites
The fund must have a holding reference that is capable of handling bonds.
Setting up Bonds
Option 1:
Navigate to Fund Level > Investments > New Investment Account
Enter the account information as appropriate:
Field Name | Field Description | Example |
Security Issue | The exact security code of the Bond from the investment report | XXXXX |
Holding Reference | The Feed holding reference that the Bond is related to | MS-XXXXXX |
Managed Account code | Enter the managed account that the Bond is related to | 001 |
Please add the managed account codes for the investments else it will create duplicates.
If Bonds security code has not been created, see the below steps
Security Issue Quick Add
- Click on "Create Security Issue" after typing in the security code.
- Fill in the information and save.
Option 2:
Setting up the Bonds at business level
Navigate to Business level > Investment > New Security
- Enter the Common code and Description
- Classify the Market Type and Security Issue Type. The screenshot below shows the default setting in Class
- Click "Save"
The bond will be automatically created the next day the data for the bond comes in.
