Overview
Class reports have been refreshed with a new design to improve readability, consistency, and usability. These updates include improved text and formatting, no data has changed. Reports are now easier for clients to interpret and engage with.
Alongside the visual refresh, note content for 11 text-based reports was updated from 20 Sep 2025. These notes have also been updated to use inherited font and size, making them compatible with both the new and legacy report styles.
What's not changing: ATO forms and schedules, and some legacy reports (e.g. CGT relief reports from 2017) are not part of this update.
Report style settings (Latest vs Legacy)
To give you control over rollout, Class provides a Business level setting that allows you to switch between Latest and Legacy report styles.
Navigate to Business level > Settings > Business defaults > Report Style
Note: Some reports are only available in one style. For example, the Div 296 Cost Base Adjustment Analysis report is only available in the Latest style. Any report created from now on will use the new format.
Getting started checklist
Work through these three areas before rolling out the new reports to clients.
| Area | Details | Action |
|---|---|---|
| Check your logo | If the logo in your Reporting White Label settings is too large, it can cause blank pages to appear in reports, even when the report header is turned off. |
Upload the default Class logo for reports, or resize the existing logo by following the instructions here |
| Update existing Report Packs | Report packs created before 20 Sep 2025 may contain outdated note content and font settings. Updating them ensures reports run from a pack match those run as single reports. |
For each affected report pack, go to Business level → Reports → Maintain Report Packages. Select the pack, go to the Reports tab, select Manage Reports, remove and re-add any of the 11 impacted reports listed below, then save. See the list of 11 impacted reports below. |
| Update reporting defaults (if you've customised notes) | If you previously saved custom note text under Reporting Defaults, those notes won't automatically update. You'll need to update them manually to match the new content and font settings. | You can copy the note content by clicking the report name in the next section. In Reporting Defaults and in Report Packs, select the note text and change the font to inherited font and size to inherited size. |
Reports with Updated Notes
The following 11 reports have had note updates. Remove and re-add these from any report packs created before 20 Sep 2025.

FAQ
If I clone a Report Pack will this update the Notes?
No, it will retain the previous Notes. You need to remove and re-add the affected reports first.
What happens if I don't update existing report packs?
Reports run as single reports may look slightly different to those run as part of a report pack notes may have older content or different font styling.
What should I do with report packs we no longer use?
It's best to delete them to keep things tidy and avoid confusion.
How do I fix the font if I've previously customised a note?
In Reporting Defaults or within a report pack, select the note text and change the font to inherited font and size to inherited size. This ensures notes display correctly in both the latest and legacy styles.
Why is there a blank page appearing in my report?
This is most commonly caused by a logo that is too large in the Reporting White Label settings. Upload the default Class logo or resize your existing one to resolve this. This can occur even when the report header is turned off.
